Hard to believe, but here it is again!

Ammonoosuc Community Health Services presents

The 12th Annual Ammonoosuc Amble !!

A 5 Mile Walk and Run

Details: This race is sponsored by, and benefits the programs of, Ammonoosuc Community Health Services, a local family health care facility in Littleton, NH, with additional offices in Woodsville, Whitefield, Franconia, and Warren, NH. Some participants choose to accept or solicit pledges from members of the community, and a special award is given to the individual raising the most money through the pledge system. Note, however, that this aspect of the race is entirely voluntary. Contact Ammonoosuc Community Health (ask for Pat Meddings, ext 9110) for details on pledging.

Following the race, there will be food and drinks, and a raffle for participants. We promise, no left running boards for '65 Chevy trucks will be raffled off....

*** FLASH!!! Once again, we will raffle off a brand new laptop computer following the conclusion of the Amble's 2005 regular raffle! For this Laptop raffle, you don't have to be here to win, but you do have to buy separate raffle tickets available locally (and which will, of course, be sold on race day). ***

Finish Line Management is by Time Travelers Finish-line Management Group .

A major sponsor of the Amble is Thayers Inn on Main Street. Thayers traditionally offers an amazing deal to Amblers: you can stay at Thayers Inn the night before the race, and/or the night after the race for $30 per night (that's room cost, NOT per person) plus tax. People have expressed concern: "For $30, it must be a dog house or scuzzy or something awful, right?" WRONG! This is one of the finest places to stay in the North Country, and if you have doubts you should check out their web-site. This is a wicked good deal at a wicked nice place, and you are nuts if you come up here and don't take advantage, got it? Contact them directly , and mention the Amble: 1-800-634-8179, or on the internet: www.thayersinn.com .

Register for the AMBLE ON-LINE --- After February 20 or thereabouts, 2005 --- at www.active.com or send an e-mail with name, address including zip, date of birth, t-shirt size, walker or runner, gender, the usual stuff, to amble@together.net (don't be fooled, you'll still have to cough up a check for $12 on race day, but you're considered "preregistered" and eligible for a free t-shirt).
